Protects Receiver From Damage When Clamping In Vise
Heavy-duty vise block takes all the clamping force, so your expensive lower receiver won’t get scratched, distorted, or otherwise damaged. Insert block into the mag well, just like an ordinary magazine, then clamp the other end in your bench vise. The magazine catch locks to the block, safely and securely holding the rifle for assembly, disassembly, cleaning, or repair. Double-ended design fits ArmaLite® AR-10®, Bushmaster .308, DPMS Panther™ LR-308, and Remington R-25. Does not fit Rock River Arms lower receivers. Machined from rugged, durable, chemical-resistant Delrin® polymer; will not mar or scratch weapon’s finish.
SPECS: Machined Delrin, white. 5-1⁄8” (13cm) high, 3” (7.6cm) wide, 1” (2.5cm) thick. Fits most AR-Style .308 rifles except Rock River Arms.

Great product, awful price(05/02/2011)
The block itself is solid and exactly what you would expect in a lower receiver vise block. It fits perfectly with my DPMS lower. The block itself earns 5 stars, when you don't consider the cost.
Not a good fit(15/10/2012)
Nice quality but found out that it DOES NOT fit a SIG716 magwell...its to big or the Sig is to small.May work on other AR-10 style rifles.
Will not fit a S&W M&P10 .308(30/10/2013)
This is a very nice product but will not fit the highly proprietary S&W M&P10. I thought it would work since the DPMS mags fit the M&P10 without issue. The block is just slightly too large on the DPMS side and will not enter the well more than one inch before jamming. I intend to keep it as it is the closest match that I have found to date, and it appears that a little sandpaper work will achieve a fit.
Works Great(07/12/2013)
I just got this block and it works great in both my AR-10 mag well and my R-25/LR308 mag well. Does exactly what it's supposed to.
Poor quality(06/12/2015)
The shoulder on the one I received, when resting flat in the jaws of the vice, does not put the rifle in a horizontal position. Instead the muzzle is pointed upwards and the entire block has to be re-positioned in the vise in order for the rifle to be parallel with the work surface. My AR15 block does not work this way. Additionally, the R-25 end of the block is too large to easily fit into the magazine well of my POF P-308. I'm going to try removing additional stock and knock down the sharp corners with a dremel tool so it might fit more easily. Way too expensive piece of plastic that was not machined correctly.
Does not fit out of the package.(15/12/2015)
This is being used on a DPMS G2 Recon 308.
Let's start by saying that magazine wells don't have square corners, but this block does...
All four corners needed to be chamfered AND additional machining was required to get it to fit properly. I understand the need for a tight fit, but the block was about 10 mil to large fore/aft to insert into the mag well. The tooling marks indicate that this piece was hogged out fast to minimize machine time. A slower travel rate and lighter cuts would reduce the deflection of the plastic/tooling and improve dimensional tolerancing.
For the price, this is a poorly machined piece that suffers from poor quality control and improper geometry. Either drop the price or improve the quality.
Yes, you have to fit it.(11/12/2016)
This is a gunsmith tool, and as such it didn't surprise me that it required a little bit of fitting. I wouldn't have it any other way, because I got a nice tight fit on my DPMS Recon.
Guys who are sanding and dremel-ing on nylon are doing way too much work.
It only took a couple of passes with a sharp knife to break the corner on only two of the edges of this block. Now my rifle sits over the vise and does not move. Excellent.
Works as advertised(26/01/2017)
Fits my M&P 10 perfectly. Nice solid hold while cleaning or working on my rifle.
For the price of this tool, you would think that they would've finished it. Out of the package it is not useable. The angles that are milled into it are off by at least 10 degrees, it won't lock into the receiver like a magazine does. The edges have to be cut off before it will even enter the mag well. This is no more than a kit, to be finished by the end user and as such it is worth no more than the base material, $10.00 at the most! Don't waste your money on this.
Obviously mismanufactured(16/09/2018)
On further review, it's obvious to me that their fixture slipped at some point and no one noticed that the whole thing is off by 10 degrees which pretty much negates its usefulness as a tool. I've seen better Jr High School shop projects. I wish I would've seen the Sincair tool for half the price before I bought this.
