Rail Mounting Problems (17/04/2014)

I successfully mounted this blk technologies weaver/ picatinny monolithic rail adapter to the "SWISS PRODUCTS SCHMIDT-RUBIN K31 SCOPE MOUNT" with no problems. In this respect the product is fine

However, when trying to mount my Larue QD LT112 rifle scope mount to this monolithic rail, the cross slots of the rail did not align with the slots of the riflescope mount. Thus I could not mount my riflescope.

Just to make sure it wasn't user error, I removed a riflescope, with standard 2 piece rings, from another rifle I had. It had been mounted on picatinny rails, but it too did not fit on the blk technologies rail.

So I guess this picatinny weaver adapter from blk technologies can only use 2 piece rings, not monolithic scope rings. Also, those 2 piece rings will be set at a different measurement than MIL-STD-1913 rails or its affiliates; you can't just swap your QD riflescope between rails because they won't fit.

I'll send this back in and get the 2 piece adapter, but I just can't help but wonder, why did they machine it like this?

Nice Dovetail to Weaver Rail (18/04/2017)

I used this rail on an old yet fun to shoot Glenfield Marlin model 75 dovetail then topped it off with a Bushnell trs-25 red dot. A very welcome relief to some aging eyes. The rail fit very nicely and snugged up very tight. It's simple to install and comes with the required allen wrench. It takes up the entire length of the dovetail on the model 75 and looks pretty cool. You will want to measure your dovetail and make sure it is "standard" width. I like the fact it is one piece so the finish looks very good.

And of course Brownell's is second to none with shipping and order tracking. Overall very happy with this purchase.
