M14 Owners Skip and get the 234-018-030(23/06/2010)
This is an OK muzzle guard for cleaning. Better yet use the other Dewey Brass Muzzle Guide 234-018-030. One of the issues in cleaning a Semi Auto such as the M14, this is a VERY important piece so as not to damage the crown of the barrel. Both of these models can be used with other than standard flash suppressors. The Dewey Model 234-014-014 that slips on the flash suppressor will not work with after market flash suppressors. It also creates a big mess if used with a copper brush on the end of your rod.
If you are at the point where you have dedicated rods in lengths for different weapons they are reasonably priced so you can have one dedicated on every rod. Great for M14s and the best out of them all. Skip this one and get the 234-018-030 instead. I have tried them all for M14s.
I also highly recommend the Tipton Coated Rods for M14s. They are the best. Especially when you get stuck in the barrel with a big patch.
