High Visibility Confirmation That Firearm Is Unloaded

Bright orange chamber blocker fits in the ejection port and physically prevents chambering of a round to provide positive visual confirmation that the firearm is unloaded. Removes instantly by pulling the large, easy-to-grasp ring to clear the chamber and bring the weapon into operation. Use in any situation that requires fast, visual verification of firearm status law enforcement, military, gun shops, as well as hunting, range, and competition applications. Fits semi- and full-auto rifles and carbines with an extractor enclosed within the bolt, including AR-15/M16/M4 and M14/M1A. Flexible, one-piece, molded polymer construction stands up to years of insertion and removal cycles. Tab on pull ring allows marking with individual weapon identification information.

Absolute must for patrol car carry (14/12/2009)

It blocks the chamber. It clearly indicates that the chamber is empty. It is easily removeable. It is dummy proof! Should be mandatory for all patrol rifles that are mounted/carried in patrol cars.

I work For A Police Agency In South Suburban Illinois And We Use The Chamber Safe In Every Rifle The Dept. Has It Lets Everyone Know The Gun Is "Safe" And Thanks To The Large Ring It Is Removed With Ease, Also Has A Small Tab So That You Can Put Your Badge Number Or Initials On It So It Does Not Get Lost. Definately Works Better Then The Flags Or Other Similar Devices Thanks To The Fast Removal.

My department mandates that we carry these inserted in the barrel of our AR's. They are great for training because they allow the weapon to be easily recognized as "Safe"

Chamber Blocking Device a Must (12/04/2010)

The Chamber Blocking Device is a mandatory item for our patrol rifles. It is a fantastic safety device for operational use. It visually confirms to everyone that the chamber is empty, even if there is a loaded magazine in the weapon. Yet, it allows the officer to quickly pull the device and chamber a round in a fast and fluid motion. This is what makes it unique from other "range flags" which usually require you to lock the bolt to the rear and remove the device. Those items are made for range use. The Chamber Blocking Device is made for operational use.

Chamber Safe and Military Applications (12/04/2010)

These gems probably saved my life as much as anything in Iraq. Weapons safety is not exactly on the top of the Iraqi Army's list of important things. I introduced these to the agency responsible for training their Army and what a difference it made to us and them. You NEVER had to wonder who had a hot AK and who didn't.

I was issued my first Chambersafe by my Department when I was issued my patrol rifle(AR-15), and have incorporated them into all of the rifle classes I teach. When officers are switching cars in the parking lot or loading gear into a squad from a personal car, anyone nearby can see the Chambersafe and know the condition of the rifle, but to deploy with it is fast, simply rip it out, no other manipulation is required. Once the shooting line has been made cold, it is an excellent visual for instructors or safety officers since it actually inserts into the chamber, instead of the old rope trick that just indicates an empty magwell. The fact that it can be used on duty, off duty, training, and required no manipulation to deploy makes it a winner in my book.

Paul Howe here of Combat Shooting and Tactics (CSAT). It is the chamber block we use for all classes, both operator, instructor and tactical. It makes it a snap to run a line of 25+ students when the device is used. Also, it helps create muscle memory when students use it by repeating a safe load and unload sequence.

Jeff Chudwin sent me some when they first came out and I've been an advocate of its worth ever since. I use them for all the long gun classes I teach including Patrol Rifle Instructor, Tactical Weapons Opeartor and the SWAT Academy. I encourage students to take this to their departments as a way to enhance the safety of their firearms training. The feedback I've gotten back from them is that not only do they work great on the range but also with field deployment.

I have been using this device for several years now and I am still using the original one I was issued. They hold up to AR bolts being slammed on them no matter how hot or cold the chamber blocking device is. There have been no pieces flaking off into the bolt or chamber no matter how many times the device has been used either.

These are mandatory devices for our patrol rifles because perfect muzzle discipline is not always possible inside a police station but I can tell at a glance that the weapon is not loaded and safe.

Highly recommended.
