This was a perfect drop-in 2 piece "FLGR" for my officer model 1911. Replaced the short guide rod and closed plug with a better made unit in less than 5 minutes, the money and time spent gives me a much more dependable carry gun.

sticks out past the frame (16/12/2011)

solid construction as expected from wilson combat, but the both the rod and plug stick out past the frame. it looks ridiculous.

Great Product on Officers ACP 3.5 (17/01/2012)

I have this mod on both my officers acp 3.5" and gov't model ....works great on both. To reviewer from TEXAS: this product is designed for the 3.5" barrel officers model only ....not for the 3" Defender ....so naturally it looks rediculous !
Little more difficult to field strip with this mod but easily overcome by using the proper wrench. Will buy again.
