Capacity & Precision For Handgun & Small Rifle Cartridges
The Competition 10x measure was designed expressly to throw precise, light powder charges for smaller cartridges. The 10x retains all of the features of Redding’s BR-30 competition measure but with a scaled-down metering mechanism for more precision with powder charges in the 1-to-25 grain range. Other features include anti-backlash micrometer adjustment, a positive metering chamber lock, and an adjustable powder baffle. The measure is easily adaptable to left or righthand operation and can even be used on some progressive presses or mounted to a bench with the included bracket. The dedicated, reduced capacity design with ultra-precise micrometer adjustments make this measure ideal for assembling accurate handloads in the smaller pistol cases and .223, .221 Fireball, or the .17 Hornet.

Best pistol powder throw yet(22/04/2015)
I just got it the other day and it works great. bought if from the 5 star reviews of another loading supply company sight.
Bought it on a hunch since my two other manual (Non Digital) powder throws, started to really give me inaccurate throws.
did a sample run of 100 45acps not more than 1 tenth of a grain diff. and everything stayed set.. works great!
IF YOU SHOOT ALOT OF PISTOL BUY THIS ONE.
ONE OF MY BEST RELOADING PURCHASES(09/10/2017)
I've been reloading for a little over a year now. I use a Redding T7 turret press and batch process 50-100 rounds at a time of 223/556 and 357/38 Special. For the first 9 months of reloading, I used Lee dipper with great success, but I eventually found them to be a bit limiting. I tried the RCBS ChargeMaster Lite but quickly discovered it was not for me. It was accurate, but I was going to die of old age waiting 40-60 seconds per charge. After sending it back, I decided on the Redding 10x.
What I find great about this Redding 10x is that once you find the right setting for a particular powder, it's dead nuts accurate and repeatable. The instructions on how to find the right setting are easy and fun. I have been able to come back to my favorite settings over and over and they are always right on with a particular powder.
It does work smoother with flake powder like Unique and PowerPistol better than extruded powder like H4895 because the some of the latter gets caught and cut as the cup moves to the dispense position. It's no big deal, but you can sometimes feel the resistance. A quick firm stroke of the dispensing lever takes care of it. I have also found that it's most accurate in the mid-range of it's capacity, so for example, while I can dispense 5.9 grains of PowerPistol with extremely accurate repeatability with one stroke, I find that to dispense 22 grains of H4895 for 223/5.56 rounds, it's best to set it up to dispense 11 grains and dispense the charge twice.
Perhaps the best thing about this powder measure besides it's quality construction and repeatability is cleanup, especially compared to the ChargeMaster Lite. You simply dump the powder back into the original container and you are done. I did use a dryer sheet on the inside of the plastic to eliminate powder cling. Again, works great. I am using the 10x with the optional stand and love it.
The Redding 10x powder measure is fantastic and I would definitely buy it again.
