Save Firing Pins - Shoot Better With Safe, Dry-Fire Practice
The spring-loaded “primers” in these snap caps act much like a live primer and cushion the blow so firing pin and bushing damage won’t occur. Bright color and “different” feel to prevent mixing with live rounds or function-testing dummies. (Don’t use snap caps as dummies - they don’t duplicate loaded round weight/balance).
SPECS: Brass base, plastic body.

Not up to par(19/11/2011)
These snap caps lasted for a while before the plastic developed a massive crack and then actually broke when I was training to clear a double feed. I traded up to the a-zoom snap caps, which are all metal.
Great snap caps(02/05/2011)
I've used these daily for the past two weeks to keep my shotgun swing in tune and they've stood up great. I didn't want to dry fire my old 311 and for about $10, I felt this was cheap insurance. A great thing about this pair is that they're both clear so you can easily tell they're snap caps and not live ammunition. Two thumbs way up from me!
These work, until the rims break(13/02/2016)
I've used these on different guns. They work fine until the extractor destroys the rims. If they had brass rims they'd be perfect. If your gun doesn't have extractors they'd probably last a long time.
Fragile!(19/01/2012)
In my M1A this product only lasted two years, and I was very careful not to drop it on the concrete floor. The plastic cracked and separated from the brass base.
Not good in auto-loaders(01/02/2015)
These snap-caps fail at the base and split open where the plastic meets the brass leaving the spring and pivot falling into the action. Suspect the force of the bolt closing on the snap-cap may lead to the damage. If any, use in a bolt-action hunting rifle only. Not good in auto-loaders
Best snap caps(26/06/2017)
Great stuff!!! Especially if you need to ship it internationally like myself - does not pop up on any scanners as ammunition. Functions well in Glocks, Berettas 92, Bersas.
Perfect Practice Piece(26/09/2009)
Fit & functioned perfectly in both SS PT1911s. Great practice for perfecting trigger squeeze and reset. Bright red, impossible to mix with live rounds. Highly recommend.
Diameter does not match a real cartridge(02/04/2014)
Bought these because I am respringing my 1911 for +P ammo. Some of them are badly oversized in diameter and jam so badly in my chamber that I have to disassemble and remove the barrel to pry them out of the chamber! :-(
JUNK!(04/04/2010)
The brass part that takes the blow of the firing pin worked it's way out just enough to lock up the S&W M&P I was dry firing. Less then 500 blows to achieve this feat.
Pretty doesn't always get it(08/11/2009)
Purchased Triple K snap caps for use in 20 ga O/U. Ejectors ripped chunks from rims of both caps first time through. The reason: Calipers showed caps to be correct diameter at rims. Hull body mics at 4 to 5 thousandths under size the diameter of industry standard chamber. The undersized hull diameter allows cap to skew when chambered and rims will slip by inside radius of ejectors - thus trapping rims to be sheared off. Length (at least with this type gun) is of no consequence. Have no idea how these caps would function in other action types but they would always be a wobbly fit in any chamber of industry standard. Instead of returning the caps, I scavenged the innards and used a bit of ingenuity to mount them in empty factory hulls. Viola! Success.
The plastic limits the life of the rim(19/11/2011)
I had a couple of these snap caps that I trained with a few years ago. They were a bit lighter than I liked and sounded as though they were going to fall apart, but held up for a while. What failed was the plastic rim at the base of the round. Some rounds needed an extra "shove" to get released from the magazine tube and to chamber properly. Finally one day the magazine retention arm became embedded in the plastic rim and I had to take the shotgun apart to get it out. I threw these away and bought some metal a-zoom snap caps.
Rim Failure(27/03/2012)
I purchased a pair of these to use in my Browning Superposed 12 ga. Broadway. After a very short period of time the plastic rim broke from being struck by the ejector. They do work perfectly in two 12 ga SxS's and three 16gs SxS shotguns with extractors. Any gun with an ejector will probably break it w/i a short period of time.
snap caps(21/01/2014)
I use this product for loading/cocking hammers/firing/shucking empty hulls speed practice for cowboy action shooting with a exposed hammer sxs coach gun. the caps are light enough to simulate a empty hull for unloading.. works great
Good but beware(21/12/2016)
These are a great 9mm snap cap; robust, good fit, and no issues with cycling as "round'.
The downside with these is the brass base - it looks exactly like a live round. Therefore there's a risk that you could confuse the two. A bit of awareness and you shouldn't have a problem, but it's still a risk.
