Our extra heavy bag sand is sold in 15 pound boxes which is enough to fill a larger rear bag with a little left over. We specifically recommend filling your rear bag with it. The extra weight in the rear will definitely help stabilize your rifle.

Brownells USA No leaks 27/03/2018

Comes just as shown in a plastic bag with twist wire. Which is inside a box that is sealed well . That box is in another box . No leaks like the other reviewer. It's heavy sand what else can you say .

Brownells USA 15# Won’t Fill Edgewood Gator 13/12/2017

The Chromite sand is an excellent fill material. However, a 15# box is insufficient to fill an Edgewood Gator bag. I intentionally used Lizard sand in the Gator ears and then filled the main bag with the Chromite sand. I had about 1/3-cup of the Chromite sand left. Had I started with Chromite in the ears, there would not have been enough to finish the job.
