Easy Fix(19/03/2017)
I just purchased an M1 Garand from CPM. It ran perfect, but would kick out the clip prematurely every few clips. I Googled and learned that the clip springs was often the culprit. This is no reflection on CMP, them boys make good shooters out of very tired rifles. To the point, I ordered the Fulton spring to see if that was the issue. Was a 2 min install. All you need is an M2 cartridge to slide the pin out. Bottom line, it fixed the problem. An east 5.00 fix..

I had a "new' M1 Garand from CMP. An amazing rifle, but the clip latch spring was a little lazy. Would eject clip prematurely every few clips. Use this to replace the original spring. Problem solved. Very easy to install. All you need is a small punch, or the nose of an M2 round will work too in a pinch. I do not endorse having live ammo in a work/cleaning space, so I made up a clearly marked dummy round. The beauty of the M1 Garand is you can disassemble several parts with just the nose of a bullet.
