Simple in design and use. Makes bolt disassmebly a breeze. If you own or maintain 700's this is a must have.

Works as advertised, huge time saver in the shop. Slips on, holds the cocking piece back off the bolt body securely by "camming over" and allows you to unscrew the firing pin assembly in seconds. If you do a fair amount of 700 work, this is absolutely worth it.

After having the firing pin stick in my arm. I knew there was a better way to set the roll pin.
This simple little tool did the trick just fine.
I do recommend that You apply tape to any freshly painted surfaces.

This tool has an extremely positive camming over that prevents the firing oin from getting away from you. It's faster than the Sinclair tool and extremely rugged.
I've given them as Christmas gifts to my shooting friends, and I use it everyday as a Gunsmithing Student

Simple gadget makes it so easy to disassemble a Remington 700 bolt for cleaning. Sure beats using a vise, piece of aluminum or steel, and a sanded down dime. Wish I had invented this!

I have many Remington rifles and I can't believe I went so many years without this tool! This is a simple tool that makes bolt disassembly a whiz. The way it is constructed there is little chance of marring the shroud when disassembling the bolt. This makes periodic cleaning and lube of the of the threads, firing pin, spring, etc. very simple. If you hunt in very cold weather, you should clean and degrease this item to prevent hung firing pins in the critical moment.

What a handy tool. Easy to use. If you maintain your bolt on a regular basis you NEED this tool. Well made and good finish.I wish I had bought this a long time ago. First time I took my hunting rifle bolt apart I was shocked at the gunk on the firing pin and spring from 30 years of use. Tool is solid black and not gold like the picture.

I purchased a "Kleinendorst" Rem. 700 bolt disassembly tool after receiving an email from Brownell's featuring it. Until then I had no idea they existed. I have three Rem. 700's and this tool works like a charm. Easy as one, two, three. Makes a nice addition to my firearms tool box. I bought mine on sale for around $30 just before Christmas. I recommend this tool to anyone who has a Rem. 700 and wants a quick and simple way to disassemble their bolt for cleaning and maintenance.
