Self-contained, 100% drop-in trigger is ready to install in your Ruger American Rifle® for an exceptionally smooth, crisp, trigger pull. Pull weight is factory set at crisp three pounds and you can set it yourself to any pull weight you'd like from 1.5 to 4 pounds. Lightweight 6061 T6 aluminum housing is anodized for extra durability. The trigger is CNC machined on the most cutting edge robotic machines available. The sear is EDM cut and Teflon-nickel coated for maximum lubricity. The whole unit has been designed for easy installation and manufactured using Timney's stringent specifications for a lifetime of trouble free service.

As you look at this product, you may wonder if the cost/benefit analysis works out in spending half the cost of the rifle itself on a replacement trigger.

If you have the money, do it.

I dropped one of these into my Ruger American .17HMR, and it is everything I could have hoped for. The mush and travel from the stock trigger is gone, replaced by a light, crisp break that drops the pin precisely when my brain thinks it should. I am in love with this trigger. When I first installed it, the travel was so short I actually thought I had done something wrong. Nope, this is just a fantastic trigger.

The trigger is so good I won't even deduct a point for the insipid prayer card included with the packaging -_-

Good but incomplete & wrong instructions (07/11/2015)

At half the cost of the gun, this thing should come COMPLETE and ready to drop in, not requiring parts to be cannibalized from the OEM trigger.

Furthermore, my trigger came with instructions for a Ruger 10/22 trigger assembly - forcing me to look up the instructions online and drag my computer to the shop.

The trigger itself is clean and crisp though, and the heinous safety blade of the OEM trigger group is gone.

The lack of proper instructions, hassle of installation, and required cannibalization of parts really makes me want to render a 3 star rating, but I'm feeling generous from the initial impression, hopefully I am not left disappointed.
