Brownells USA Good product but with conditions 21/12/2016

Product touts that there are magnets which hold this in place. Obviously, this requires a ferrous metal on your shotgun rib. Many newer gun sight ribs are made w/ aluminum or magnesium to reduce the weight but which will NOT hold the magnets. I had to secure mine to my front sight area w/ a twist tie, which works, but looks rather sloppy and Rube Goldberg when applied. The small clips on the side of the HIVIZ are too flimsy to hold by themselves and it will fall off w/ the first recoil.

Whether shooting recreationally, competitively or for hunting these sights are great. They show up in poor lighting conditions, reduce eye-dominance problems and improve scores.
Use a drop of glue on the muzzle side of the colored optic or IT WILL FALL OUT!!! The unit glues onto the rib and is fairly durable.
It takes five minutes to put the unit on the rib. Take the time and measure the rib because there are different ribs and (obviously) will not interchange between different brands or rib widths.
