An alternative to traditional sights, Pro I-DOT sights encourage accurate, instinctive sight alignment without taking the time to line up a three-dot sight picture. Simply position the top dot directly above the bottom dot on the target and squeeze the trigger! Tritium inserts and photo luminescent front-sight outlines make these sights visible in all light conditions – day or night. Glock® set features a green rear dot and a green front sight with a lime-green outline. Smith & Wesson (S&W) set has a green rear dot and a green front sight with an orange outline.

FAST!!!(19/08/2012)
I put these on my M&P 9 FS that is a carry/comp gun. On my gun they shoot POA=POI. These sight are extremely fast to pick up out of the holster. I also really like the dot over dot in low light, as it prevents lining your front post up to one side or the other. The small bulbs on the sights disappear during full light. Leaving just a black blade and bright orange dot similar to a fiber optic setup. The front orange dot is large which helps with acquisition, but somewhat hinders pin point accuracy at longer ranges. Also the rear has a decent ledge for one handed manipulation. Finish of the rear sight left a little to be desired though, not sure if that's all of them is just the set I got. Overall really great set of sights!!!! Ordered a second set for my G19 in yellow.
Best sights available for defensive use(27/08/2012)
Bottom line: These sights are almost as visible as fiber optic sights while also functioning as tritium night sights. They also eliminate the possibility of breaking a fragile fiber optic rod. The vertical arrangement of the tritium globes is very efficient at night but not distracting during the day.
I have several sets of the Ameriglo Pro I-dots for my Glocks and M&Ps and they're outstanding. The brightly painted front sight works very well at drawing your eye resulting in a proper front sight focus. The day-glo paint is very bright in person. I prefer the orange. The rears sights have a tritium globe at the 6:00 position so that you're not distracted by it during the day but it's visible at night. During the day the rear forms a black outline which promotes good marksmanship by helping you focus on the front sight. The rear sight notch is a little wider than the stock Glock sights which allows for faster sight acquisition and easier sight tracking. These babies are fast. I like them so much I started using the front with a Dawson Precision adjustable rear for competition and I put a set on my Glock 20 for woods defense/hunting.
The sights are very well made and out of six sets I've had nothing but good experiences on Glocks and M&Ps. The tritium is very bright. The sights have "trijicon H3" printed on them so I beleive they're using Trijicon lamps. I run my pistols pretty hard and these sights hold up well. Every thousand rounds or so I use a Q-tip and some alcohol to clean up the painted portion of the front sight to brighten it up.
The Ameriglo Pro I-Dots have been recommended by several top trainers as being some of the best available for defensive firearms. I strongly recommend these sights myself.
Great sights...(02/02/2014)
I ordered these sights for an M&P .45 full size frame. First, impressions out of the box were they were well made with no tooling marks and made of steel. I hoped these sights would appear as if from the factory when intalled, and I was not disappointed. They look very good intalled.
I installed the sights myself using a homemade aluminum drift pin/punch. I made the tool out of a stock piece of aluminum bought at a local home improvment store. The sights to be fitted by removing the underside coating of each as well as a little off one side of a beveled edge. Made sure they were centered with digital calipers.
The tritium vials are easy to find in the dark. In other words, bright enough to find in the house in the middle of the night if necessary. The orange on the front sight is great for daylight shooting like the range. I like the "i" configuration of these sights rather than a traditional three dot system. Having researched these sights before committing to purchase, I read many people saying it would take time to adjust to seeing a figure "8" sight alignment rather than the traditional three dot sight alignment, especially at night. Not true in my case. There was no adjustment time with this configuration.
I like these sights...would I recommend them to others ? Yes...
Orange vial fell out after 200 rounds.(24/11/2014)
Sights are easy to install and have a ledge for one handed manipulations. Lacks serrations on the rear sight. The tritium vial on the rear sight is obnoxious in day time because of the white outline. I was very disappointed when I noticed the orange vial fell out during a very slow range session. If you're buying these sights for the orange front, I would keep away. I have already sold these sights and have replaced them with Trijicon HD's which are the sights I should have gotten in the first place.
Great alternative to 3-dot systems(17/04/2015)
I greatly dislike the 3-dot sights that came with my M&P357 and have been wanting some kind of dot-the-i system similar to my Sig P226-40. These appeared to fit the bill. The orange front dot is big and highly visible and is very easy to line up with the rear notch. I find them very fast to align on target, and they sight to p-o-i on the target. Of course tritium fades over time, but these new sights are very bright in the dark, even to non dark-adapted eyes. If I could get a set like this for my Sig P227 I'd grab them in a heartbeat.
I haven't shot them enough to judge long-term durability, but the first 100 rounds through the gun had no effect on them.
