Excellent product for a good price(29/08/2010)
It doesn't get any better. I have three sets of these rings on rifles from a Ruger 10/22, Colt AR-15A3 and a Springfield Armory M1A.
One, the ring looks very cool. Two, it's large area provides a huge purchase area for secure mounting on scopes - especially large scopes. Once snugged up nothing moves -period. six screws hold down the ring cap and a large nut positively secures the ring to your picatinny or Weaver base.
Great rings for the money(11/04/2011)
These are solid, heavy duty rings! The caps were not matched to the bottoms very well, but after some fit testing, and about an hour of lapping, i got a nice seamless fit.I dont know if these are strong enough for the larger belted magnums, but they are plenty strong enough for non belted cartridges. These are plenty high enough to fit a 44 or 50 mm scope.
Great rings, too low for AR(23/01/2012)
These are very solid, well built scope rings. They have plenty of clearence for mounting at least a 40mm scope, with room left for scope covers. For a regular rifle, they would be ideal. Unfortunately I purchased these to mount a scope on an AR rifle with a flat top receiver. The scope ends up between 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch too low to be used in any other fashion than turning your head sideways and resting it on the butt stock. NOT a comfortable position. If you are looking to mount something on a standard rifle, these are well worth the cost. Find something else if you are going to use an AR.
