Since its inception, .300 Blackout shooters have had to use a magazine designed for another cartridge, limiting its performance and compatibility. One of the nice features of .300 Blackout is the compatibility with 5.56x45mm parts, but with the magazine it is a compromise to do so. Due to the wide variety of projectile weights and shapes potentially decreasing overall reliability, a dedicated .300 Blackout magazine was a logical step for the PMAG line. In addition to the performance gained by a dedicated mag, the PMAG 30 AR 300 B also offers a safer way to feed your .300 BLK rifle. When using 5.56 mags, the potential to chamber and fire a .300 BLK round in a 5.56 rifle with catastrophic results requires diligent ammunition management by the shooter. The PMAG 30 AR 300 B’s distinct rib design provides the shooter a distinct visual and tactile difference from any other PMAG to mitigate dangerous cross-loading issues. Definitely recommended

Brownells USA Great 300 BO Magazine 23/07/2018

I bought these along with the Lancer 300 BO magazines. When I loaded the magazine, I noticed it rattled very loud. I was skeptical but after shooting many rounds, performance was flawless. The Lancer magazines seem like better quality however the Lancer mags were not as reliable - had trouble feeding 30 rounds flawlessly. Magpul works great with various grain weights (120,150,200) - my go to 300 BO magazine

I am really happy with my 300 blk magazines. The magazines are light weight and has a great texture. I've used many magpul magazines in the past and I would say these are the same quality as the other 5.56 magazines. Many comments suggest poor construction and rattling of the bullets but that's because of how the bullet is constructed. You can use a 300blk bullet in a 5.56 magazine but the bullets will kind of bind to the side of the original magpul 5.56 magazine. For them to flow freely through, the reinforced area where the 5.56 would easily slide up was shaved down to adapted to the 300 blk. The reason why they might feel lighter and poor quality is that material was taken off so the 300 blk would not bind to the walls but that does not effect the functionality or the reliability of the magazine. If you are still skeptical about them, buy 1 and compare why these feel different from the original 5.56; and the reason is 5.56 is not 7.62. The 7.62 is larger so it needs more space. Yes, they rattle but that's not something I worry about and if you have only 5 rounds in the magazine, it doesn't rattle. Even if you're out hunting at night, why would you load all 30 rounds? I would say one good shot or two would do the trick but if you need more than that, don't go hunting.
