Fine product. (28/08/2016)
The collet is well made. In combination with the equally well made collet holder, bullets can be removed quite quickly. The bullets can usually be reloaded, and it's often hard to find any marks on the jacket. There must be enough of the bullet exposed to allow the collet to grip it. Deeply seated bullets may not have enough bearing surface for a good bite. If the bite is good, and you've got the tool feel down, you can remove a lot of bullets in a hurry.
works but after some cleanup(24/12/2013)
I found the mouth edge to be to sharp and worried that it would scratch my bullets. For this reason only does it loose a star. Its an easy fix though. See video on how to fix it here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VxrK2X_orcM Fallow the steps in the video and this product will give you perfect bullets that have been pulled completely unharmed.
For those of you pulling 311 bullets don't worry about you bullets being 312. this thing can pull bullets up to 329! Thats 8mm. Next time I think I would just order the 308 collet though this one will grab onto 308s just fine.
the only way(28/03/2014)
Best way to pull bullets I have found.
Don't waste your time!(10/12/2011)
The only reason this got 1 star is because there was no option for less. I bought the Forster Standard Bullet Puller and a .458 collet to pull some 458 Win Mag 350gr. bullets. It was a real pain to get set up. The instructions are HORRIBLE! The video on the Forster website is only marginally better. The real problem is with the collet. I have only used it a few times (probably less than 10 rounds) and 2 of the 4 "tabs" broke! Upon inspection it appears to be cheap cast metal. Unfortunately none of the other manufacturers offer a .458 collet for their pullers, at least not that I have been able to find. As it is almost 1:30AM Sunday morning I am out of luck until Monday when I call Forster. Hopefully their customer service is better than their product.
