Thin, pad mounting plates prevent compression pinching and minimize amount of material to be removed for easier fitting. Rifle Recoil Reducer has a stronger compression rate to accomodate the punchier recoil of rifles, and guide pins and mounting screw holes are closer together to accomodate smaller rifle stocks. Got 2 of these after a lot of research, one for my brother and one for myself. We both shoot 300 Win mags and have bad shoulders from old sports injuries...
They make my gun feel like shooting my 243 or less, it is a great project for your gun.
They come not fit, so you have to mark and cut the plates on your own... Kinda difficult if your not handy, But i am guessing a gun smith could do it pretty easy...
I will put one on every big caliber gun I have, totally awesome...
