Brownells USA M1A Wrench 13/11/2015

So far I have used it to install new barrels onto new receivers. The fit of the M1A/M1 head seems to be good. It would be nice if the handle were longer. However, the main problem with the wrench is that, with the vise mounted to a work bench and the barrel set properly with the front sight base at 12:00 o'clock, the handle of the wrench is down at 5:00. This means to apply the torque to install the barrel one has to get on the floor and pull the handle towards you. This is an awkward position and very difficult to get the final alignment. Also, instead of putting the force to the table in a downward direction, the force is sideways and most tables are not built to best handle force in that direction.

Brownells USA poor fit for M1a 14/08/2013

Nothing great about a wrench with a bad fit.
The top of the wrench is cut too shallow for a good grip and the curve has numerous irregularities. This is partially why the directions tell you to use brass shims! (not revealed in the addvertisement) I just hope that I didn't twist my action! Look elsewhere!
