Fits 7 shells in an 8" mag Extension (09/04/2017)

Just wanted to comment that this spring and follower will just just make the 7th shell on a 8" and 2/16th" magazine extension. IOW 7 shells is a perfect fit if your magazine extension is 8 and 2/16th of a inch long from its bottom to top most inside part.

5 shot spring and follower (06/04/2010)

I picked up a noricano 982 and 90% of parts that fit the 870 will install in the noricano 982. You have to knock out the little dimples in the mag tube so the follower will fit down the tube. But once you do that the follower will fit. If you don't do that all you can use is the spring itself, which still works with the factory 982 parts. The wolf spring has much more power really pops the rounds out the factory spring will work just fine but to help with feeding this kit really works better!!!

TWO THUMBS UP! (19/07/2013)

I installed this kit on an 870. Some users recommend removing the dimples from the inside of the magazine tube so the new follower will slide through. I opted to cut two slots through the outer ring of the new follower with a dremmel, and not to make irreversible changes to my gun. (this could be carefully done with a razor knife as well) Either way you install it, this follower is SOLID!

The high vis green follower runs quieter, smoother, and with much less scarring than with aluminum or stainless followers.

***Some fitting may be required on some models, but I am not going to mark it below because it is a gun model defect, not the product's defect.

Perfect fit for Mossberg 500. (04/08/2015)

I've used this product to replace the factory magazine spring and follower on standard Mossberg 500 12 ga. shotguns. You must remove the magazine tube from the 500 in order to take out the factory parts and install this kit. The tube is threaded into the receiver and some are very tight so be careful not to damage the threads or magazine tube. It helps to soak the threads with Kroil oil prior to removing the tube. Go slow and line everything back up as you screw the magazine tube back in. Also you may need to trim an inch off the magazine plug. This kit works better than the factory original parts.
