The Sinclair Case Neck Sorting Tool is designed for the reloader to quickly sort brass by neck wall thickness. Large variances in neck wall thickness can affect the consistency of how the case seals the chamber and is also an indication of variances in body wall thickness. Cases are rotated under an indicator tip while they are supported on a case neck pilot and a support pin through the flash hole. The low profile and stable platform makes for comfortable use and accurate results. The tool works for 22 thru 45 caliber cases and can be used on 17 and 20 caliber cases with the optional carbide alignment rod. Tool can be ordered with or without a dial indicator. Order 17 Caliber and 20 Caliber Sinclair Case Neck Pilots separately. MIC-4 pin fits .060 & .080 flash holes. Available pilot stops. It is intended for use with either a .001" (one thousandth) reading dial indicator or digital indicator, both with a 3⁄8" shank. This tool will not accept most .0001” (one ten-thousandth) reading dial indicators.

Perfect for Highpower Applications(07/11/2011)
This tool is perfect and as advertised. Works great for the highpower (think gas-gun) reloader who wants to segregate brass into mid or long range brass, short range brass and "practice" brass. You really get to know your cases (best at the start with new cases) when using the tool. WIN cases are very consistent, but I found that it was quite easy to segregate into "less than .002" for my mid-range (600yd) brass, "between .003-.004" for my short-range (200-300yd) brass and anything more than that into the "practice" bin. Also, when you get that funky feel about a particular case, while prepping cases or whatnot, you can run it through the dial and see what's up. Perfect for anyone who isn't turning necks. As described by Sinclair and others, funky thickness variations in the brass at the case neck may say allot about the rest of the case. Perfect tool with the indicator that comes with it for this type of application.
