Improves grip(03/02/2016)
This is a nice grip, a simple grip improvement for a Gen 3 G19 without resorting to stippling or adhesive/grip tape. The compact version is a perfect fit for a Gen3 G19, the full size version (G17 etc.) would require trimming of either the mag release area or mag well area. The only downside is the gun tends to twist within the grip.
MP Grip Glove(07/09/2016)
I have purchased several grip glove it's a great investment and high quality item.
absolutely awesome(17/03/2010)
these are just absolutely awesome grips, if you can unscrew 4 screws and put them back in then you too can install these grips. springfield loaded 1911, i loved the weapon before, but now, well WOW. well worth the money, great value. i liked them so much i tried the pachmayr glove grips for my XD. it also, awesome. just like brownells, pachmayr has my business in the future.
the only down side is that i had to cut the relief for the ambidextrous safety. use the factory grip as a guide, it too is easy. and don't over tighten the screws when reinstalling.
grip glove for taurus pt145 also(09/03/2011)
nobody makes a slip on grip specifically for the taurus pt 145 mil pro series pistols. i own a springfield xd and put the grip glove on it. i measured the two grips and sure enough the grip glove made for the xd will fit the taurus pt145 with minor trimming.
NOTE to those using the slip on grips, I use friction tape under it and have zero problems with grip slippage. and yes it's called friction tape, looks like black electrical tape.
Great upgrade(11/11/2011)
Got this thought Brownells about five months ago. I cleaned the grip with rubbing alcohal and just took my time and slid it on slow. It does rotate a little bit after a day of shooting but only enough to notice if you look at it. Gives much better grip if your hands are sweaty or wet as well as a good bit more comfort for me. When quickly drawing your weapon, its makes for a much, much more solid grip. And I would say it does absorb recoil a slightly noticable amount. Best of all, looks good and did not require any cutting it fit around the grip safety. Very noticable upgrade for a very small price.
Waste of money(15/05/2013)
These are pieces of rubber junk that rotate around the grip as the gun is fired, requiring constant readjustment and repositioning. Unless you're willing to GLUE them into place (and ruin your stock grip, something I won't even CONSIDER), then your money is better spent on ammo or adjustable sights. These grips are cheap, and exactly what you pay for - garbage. Don't waste your money. You're MUCH better off getting a pair of leather batting gloves to use while you shoot; superior control, no slipping, and cheap and easy to find and replace. One of the WORST pieces of junk offered by Pachmayr.
Fragile!(12/11/2009)
It ripped apart before I got it on past the 1st finger groove! I glued it with some black Loctite and tried again... got it half way on and it ripped AGAIN (from the other side)! I pulled it off and as I did, it ripped into 2 pieces! I own several rubber "sleeves" and this is WAY more fragile than any I have seen before. It's worse than an old rotten bicycle inner tube I tried years back. The design is GREAT and the styling, at least in design, is superior to the "Handall" but the materials are way too soft and fragile to even allow the sleeve to be mounted. Pachmayr needs to remake this with a better grade of rubber otherwise, this is junk!
and they usually make great stuff(10/01/2010)
at first, the grip looks promising, but the material is too soft. It ripped within the first two weeks of duty use. I guess it's back to the drawing board.
Great Product(05/04/2010)
I've put close to 750 rounds through my Glock, and have found that the Pachmayr Tactical Grip Gloves work flawlessly. They are soft and slip resistant. After disassembly for cleaning, I remove the grip gloves prior to spraying solvent. I just start at the top, and roll the grips off of the gun. After cleaning, I turn them inside out, and work them back on the grip. No tears or other issues.
Great Feeling Product(09/04/2010)
When put on gently, this product works great. I have been using it for months now with no problems!
FRAGILE HANDLE WITH CARE(12/04/2010)
Tears very easily on full size glock models when installing. Better off using Hogue grips
Grip glove(07/03/2011)
I've been using the grip glove for years. I don't like the finger groves on the new Glocks and this grip glove, the one on the right, helps to overcome that problem. Exercise care during installation and you'll be pleased with the outcome.
Excellent product(26/06/2011)
I bought a Pachmayr Tactical Grip Glove for my Glock 22 and liked it much better than the Hogue Handall I had been using mainly because it's not so thick. Very tacky (in a good way, sticky to the grip) and stretches to fit the gun. Your grip on the pistol is much stronger which is important with .40S&W and larger. Seems to work well when your hands are wet but I'll find out with more use and sweat. Much, much easier to put on than the Hogue, which is a good product but makes for a pretty fat grip. That's a plus for someone with large hands but for average to small hands the Pachmayr is an excellent choice.
I got Pachmayr's Model 17 which is for full size Glocks like the 17 and 22 but then I tried it on my compact Glock 23 and it's a perfect fit (Pachmayr also makes one for the 19/23 that's about 1/4" shorter but I'd get the larger grip). I liked it so much I bought a second so both Glocks are wearing one now.
So far the only complaint, the large size should be 1/4" longer for the full size Glocks. And I bet the Model 19 version would be a good fit for the Baby Glocks. Definitely recommended, especially at the price.
As far as the complaints about tearing during installation, I admit this doesn't seem as strong as the Handall but you have to be pretty ham-handed to tear it. Go slow and no problems.
Too mushy feeling(13/03/2012)
The grip fits great on my Glock 17 and it was super fast and easy to install. My beef is with the material. The rubber is very squishy feeling and I feel like I can't get a solid grip on the pistol. It is nice and tacky and grippy, just to squishy. I lose that firm locked in feeling. It is good for recoil absorption though, so some may like it for that. Overall it's a good grip, but I'll stick with my bicycle inner tube grip for now.
