757253989889 Forster Reloading Dies are of excellent quality and provide the reloader with the ability to produce concentric rounds time and time again. Each die is manufactured from the finest quality steel carefully machined to very tight tolerances. Dies are hand polished both before and after the heat-treating process to guarantee an extra fine finish. All Forster reloading dies feature their Forster Cross Bolt Die Locking Ring that tightens the two ends of the split ring instead of tightening a screw directly into the threads of the die. The Forster Ultra Seater includes all of the features of the Forster Bench Rest Seater Die above, plus an ultra accurate micrometer adjustment. This micrometer adjustment allows you to adjust bullet seating depth from .0005 inch to .001 inch increments, and makes switching bullets easy - just dial back to your previous recorded setting. Forster Ultra Seaters make fine tuning your bullets to the lands of your rifling simple.Delivery time approx. 7-14 days.

Good die but not for VLD bullets 12/05/2018
I have several of these Forster Ultra Micrometer Seating Dies in various calibers. All have worked very well with standard weight for caliber bullets of conventional shape. I bought this die to seat heavy for caliber bullets in a .223 bolt gun. Although the 80 grain Sierra Match King bullet is not technically a VLD design the seating stem of this die would not engage the bullet consistently. Seating depths would vary by a much as 10 thousandths of an inch. Sometimes the bullet tip would bottom out inside the cup of the seating stem. After diagnosing the problem I discovered Forster does not have a VLD stem available. I returned this die to Brownells and purchased another manufacturer's die that has a VLD stem. This is a very good seating die but perhaps not appropriate for long profile bullets.
Good but needed some work 04/05/2017
I use this to load for my AR, a Ruger Ranch Rifle and a TC Encore. It works fine but when I first received it some work was needed. I noticed that the sliding sleeve would catch partway up and found that the roll marking on the bottom of the sleeve was raised sufficiently to drag on the outer housing. It was significant and I have no doubt it would have caused issues. Also, the seater plug had a ridge around the bottom where the bullet entered that cause significant drag in the sleeve. A bit of careful stoning made things better although the seater still feels a bit rough in the sleeve. Roll marking after precision machining on the sleeve seems like a real bad idea.
