Exclusive, "split" center leg of spring keeps constant forward pressure on trigger to prevent ham-mer/sear notch damage (which can cause dangerous "hammer follow") on guns equipped with lightened or "traditional", custom trigger jobs. Allows hammer to stand cocked under most normal conditions and will not affect trigger break or pull. Can be used with lightweight triggers or Gold Cup-style hammers.
SPECS: Blued steel, 2-13/16" (7.1cm) long, ½" (12.7mm) wide. Fits all models of Colt style 1911 Auto pistols.

The product works(10/07/2010)
Ive used this in several guns with several rounds fired. When the sear is properly bent it works to perfection. Especially if your looking to get trigger weight as light as possible and avoid hammer fall. hammer has never fell on mine and i have a crisp 2 lb pull with no creep. (the longest finger adjusts the weight, sometimes the finger next to the longest requires stoning at a 45 degree angle for an extreme light pull)
HAVE HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO INSTALL THIS SPRING IN AT LEAST 25 1911 PISTOLS SINCE THE CLARK FAMILY OFFERED THEM TO THE 1911 FRATERNITY. REALLY LIKE THE TUNE-ABILITY OF EACH INDIVIDUAL LEAF AS TO THE OPERATIONAL FUNCTION IT PERFORMS. IT IS AN EXCELLENT HIGH QUALITY PART. TIP: USE CROCUS CLOTH TO POLISH THE TIPS OF THE SPRING THAT CONTACT THE SEAR, DISCONNECTER, & TRIGGER BOW. FINAL POLISH THE SPRING TIPS WITH SOME FLITZ / SIMIOCHROME. LUBE WITH BREAK-FREE CLP THEN INSTALL.

Excellent Upgrade(06/10/2013)
The Clark sear spring has become an automatic upgrade for my 1911's.
Customizing required(07/03/2011)
This was tricky to set up, it was my first 1911 tune up. The extra leaf spring-there are 4 not like the standard 3, adds a little bit of extra fitting required, but in the end it was totally worth all of the work. Take your time, and bend a little here and compare to your old spring. A trigger pull gauge is helpful in returning your gun to the weight you are used to!

awesome product, fit perfect with only the slightest fitting.
Should'a bought this a long time ago(11/02/2012)
Definitely worth the stars. Between this spring and the new sear, the already smooth trigger most definitely breaks even crisper and smoother now. I really had to work on the sear prong as it started out being just a bit too light for my taste, you know...a bend here, a bend there. I don't have a gauge so "seat of the pants" comparison to the old product. This is close but a little lighter. It's not so light that a "nervous twitch" would cause it to break in a tight situation but it's light enough to be good at competitive shooting for an amateur.
Clark 1911 AUTO CUSTOM SEAR(28/04/2012)
I have used these since they first came out quite a while ago and they are perfect for the 2.5lbs to 3.25lbs competition action jobs and allow you to control and eliminate hammer follow if your sear angles are cut properly for low cut hammer hooks. I just had a customer come back with a pistol I tuned for him about 3 years ago and the left center finger split off at the bottom of the cut. I replaced it with a new spring and he was back in business, just a note to the light trigger pull common in competition guns. Strip out the entire gun prior to any match and every 700 rounds to inspect all parts and honed edges as high maintenance is critical in these guns as they are riding a thin line.
Will buy again for my other 1911s(28/06/2012)
Broke my tri-spring, ordered this for replacement, after some fitting works great and really like the disconnect/trigger split.
Standards have fallen(05/11/2016)
Been using these springs for years but no longer. Latest one was rough as a corn cob, looked like it had been cut out with a hacksaw. After dressing/bending it still didn't work like it should. Threw it in the trash and got a 3.5 pound trigger pull with Cylinder & Slide spring and almost zero tweaking to do so.
