This version is fully machined from stock for unbeatable quality and no chance of warping or porosity. This design uses a special hammer pin (included) to hold the safety securely, eliminating the need to modify the grips. Designed for all 1911 type frames and made from high quality steel. Available in blued or stainless steel. Requires minor gunsmith fitting for safe operation and includes complete instructions.

Terrible Quality Control 18/04/2018

The right wing is bent up and doesnât align with the left wing. When installed on a firearm, the right wing sits angled above the slide line which aesthetically looks terrible but also twists the safety bar producing excess and unnecessary torque on the safety mechanism. This isnât a one-off occurrence either, Iâve encountered at least three of these exact safeties with this exact problem, all of which have the right wing at differing but raised angles to the left wing. Ed brown makes some great products, but this isnât one of them. How these safeties got past QC is beyond me.
