Brownells USA Poor Design/Workmanship 18/09/2017

I have purchased three sets of the TFO sights. When first installed, the sights glow nicely. On two of the three sets,within 150 rounds fired, the front sight fiber-optic rod and tritium capsule ejected rearward, of course making the sights useless. Don't buy unless you like changing sights every 100, or so, rounds.



Slightly recommend

Brownells USA Not For Caspian Commander Slide! 11/12/2016

The Truglo web site recommends this sight set for a .45 cal Commander 4.25 inch 1911. But, I happened to purchase a stainless Caspian slide. The Caspian slide is set up to use a number of .40 cal/9mm parts instead of the .45 cal parts. It seems this applies to the sight set also. After installing this sight set, my 1911 shoots 3" high at 7 yds, 13" high at 20 yds, and is completely off the paper at 25 yds. Truglo customer service took 2 weeks to respond. So, I returned this sight set. I liked the set. But, I can't use them.
