Brownells USA Simple Solutions 11/04/2016

This simple accessory slips straight into the MLOK mounting slots and covers them with a soft-rubber strip that enhances comfort and purchase without greatly affecting handling. Once your fingers (or the side of your hand with a vertical grip) start sinking into the rubber a bit, it really does seem to improve their stability, and it certainly adds to comfort level. Best of all, scoring marks (alternated between the top and the bottom) are included between each insertion nub, allowing you to trim out the exact length needed to cover your unused slot(s), all the way down to a solitary square for a half-slot. If you want greater comfort, flexibility, value, and continuity of handling than the Type 2 covers, this is for you. There are only two downsides, the smaller being that the ends occasionally threaten to pull out a little if a finger or gear happens to snag them, but this hasn't proved to be an actual issue so far. More significantly, the unused slots normally function as secondary ventilation when firing, so I suggest installing the covers only where your hands spend the most time. Otherwise, these are great.
