Definitely recommended

Great product 14/03/2013

I purchased 2 of these to mount magpul sights on a AR-15 as back up sights. They work great and are just the right length to provide protection for the sights. Good solid product.

Not recommended

not suitable for sights 25/02/2012

beautifully made, but contrary to writeup, not suitable for a sight unless used only at one distance. The centerline of the angle is not in line with an AR barrel. Consequently, if you sight in at a particular range, the paralax error will put the sight significantly off at any other range. Compare it to the "designed for AR" angled backup iron sights and you will see that the sights are much lower on the side of the rifle and a perpendicular line from the center of the sight pad will intersect the center of the barrel. This angle mount would be teriffic for a light and is very well made and compact--just isn't good for mounting a sight.
