Slightly recommend

Perhaps an item in this price range isn't worthy of a review but I had a few minutes and thought perhaps someone would find this to be of value. I looked at all the mats Brownells offered before ordering this mat. A mat is a simple thing with a very few things to accomplish. First this mat does offer some cushioning and the price is right. The size is perfect for my needs that's about where the good ends. It has a memory that won't quit. [...]. I've even set this out in the sun but it does not lay flat and retains marks (doesn't look crisp and clean). It is not easy to clean easily. It also doesn't grip the bench surface well. All in all a folded towel would accomplish the same thing this mat does. Would I send it back, probably not. I'm sure Brownell's would stand behind it but it isn't worth the effort. That said, I would tell someone who is looking to steer clear of this particular product.
