The Final Finish For Your Barrel, Improves Accuracy, Reduces Cleaning Effort
A micro-fine bore cleaning and finishing compound that works as both a cleaner and a final polish to help keep barrels free of fouling and shooting their absolute best. Regular use gives your barrel a mirror-like finish that helps prevent the build-up of accuracy robbing copper fouling, plus greatly reduces cleaning effort. Clean your barrel as you normally would, then after cleaning with J-B Compound, follow with J-B Bore Bright to achieve a super clean, final polish. At the range, regular use of J-B Bore Bright between strings of fire minimizes the accumulation of jacket fouling to help maintain consistent accuracy. As a bore cleaner, the soft, oil-paste formula liquefies as you use it to quickly remove fouling, copper, lead, and powder residue in rifles and handguns, plus plastic deposits in shotgun bores. Because J-B Bore Bright is absolutely non-embedding it wipes easily from the barrel with a dry patch. You never need to worry about Bore Bright harming your barrel.
SPECS: 2 oz. (57 g) jar. Carton contains 12, 2 oz. jars.

Can't go wrong.(07/01/2016)
I can easily understand why this product deserves a Five Star rating. It is everything they say about it and more. I cleaned by barrel with it according to instructions and went to the range the next day to fire some loads. You know how that first shot through a barrel will fly some place else except where you are aiming? This time it didn't. It went right to the center of the five shot group I was firing. No fliers, but a group. I had to pause and digest what I saw for a few seconds. I never had that happen before. After returning from the range I cleaned the rifle and was surprised how little time I spent to get clean patches out of the rifle. If I was to write the label on the product, I would write "It's better than you think". Yea, it's that good. In the world of competitive shooting, with so many products saying they are the best, this one lives up to its expectations. You will not be disappointed. Period.
Really does improve your barrel!(09/11/2009)
I really like this stuff! Finish off cleaning by giving your barrel a mirror finish! Works the best if you clamp/vise your barrel to keep it in place while polishing. Doesn't take that much more time than a normal cleaning does.
Removes the hard carbon(26/03/2010)
This WILL remove the hard carbon that gets deposited in the 6-8" in front of the chamber. The brown JB won't touch the stuff. This saves boucoup elbow grease and probably rod induced wear. Hard to believe that this product is rarely seen in retail stores.
Works Well & Is Easy to Use(13/07/2010)
I use this with the VFG felt plugs...they both work very well together leaving the barrel looking like glass. As another reviewer mentioned, this stuff cleans out that nasty zone a few inches behind the throat. Also, this stuff appears to me to be good for new bores as a lapping agent. It also comes out of the barrel with just one or two patches...very easy to use.
Tbe Best Bore Polish(17/12/2010)
The is the best bore polish there is. Regular use keeps all my rifle and pistol bores looking mirror bright. Cleanup is easy now because the bores are so slick that nothing sticks!
Not just for bores(12/04/2011)
Yes, this stuff is great for cleaning bores. I particularly like it for cleaning several 9mm auto barrels, which are notorious for collecting lead when shooting cast bullets. If I use Bore Bright after every range session, I can avoid any serious brush scrubbing.
However, there's another great use. Put a small dab on a clean cloth or patch and it will take the annoying carbon/lead build-up off your revolver cylinders in a heartbeat. A little goes a long way.
The caveat: It's fantastic on polished stainless steel ... because it keeps polishing. You need to be careful with matte stainless, since overdoing it will end up polishing the matte finish. And although I haven't tried it, I'm sure you can take the finish off a blued gun quickly.

Great stuff ....(14/11/2011)
Tried this product this weekend and was amazed how well it works. If you shoot cowboy loads and lead bullet you need to try this product. Shines a barrel up in no time as the instruction state clean as usual then run the Bore Bright though the barrel after scrubbing with Bore Shine the first patch was black.
It works like it says(04/06/2012)
This stuff is no joke. I took the "JB Challange" and cleaned by bore with some M-Pro 7 until the patches came out clean then ran another patch through that had a judicious amount of JB Bore Bright and the patch came out black. I've heard some rumors that this black is actual metal that was removed but I do not believe this to be the case as the amount of black crud was considerably less after a second cleaning. I believe this stuff really gets into the lands & grooves to clean out what most solvents miss. Combine this with a heavy duty flannel patch along with an o-ring jag for maximum results!
Wow, love hate relationship(16/07/2014)
Well I cleaned my 5.56 with it after cleaning it until patch was clean and black just oozed out, I cleaned and cleaned and did more and after 100 patches I hated it and wondered if it "removed metal" The gun shoots hundreds if not thousands of rounds before cleaning. Finally clean and wow shiny and I thought was shiny before. To end my wonder I cleaned my 6.5 grendel, 270,30-06 300 mag and none of them were even close and the grendel took the most patches after and it was only 6 the 30-06 was cleanest. So no it just cleans the bore and shows you how dirty your toy really was. The hate was the fact that I spent a couple of hours just on the barrel, the love was knowing it worked.
If you are wondering if your fun gun's getting old or just old carbon use this and it will answer your question but have plenty of oil, cleaner and patches.
High Velocity Cleanup(27/11/2015)
Started using this on my 300 RUM. I was noticing that I could still see copper color just inside the muzzle even though my patches were coming out clean. I tried all kinds of creams and pastes that were safe for use on stainless but nothing changed. This bore bright removed the copper and a lot of the dark powder fouling color as well. With all the ammo I had put through the weapon it did take several treatments but now It's very easy to stay ahead. Bore Bright has also become an important step in my break in procedure for everything I shoot. If I shoot something over 3000 fps with a tight twist it gets cleaned with this every 50 rounds. My 6.5 CM with 1-8 at 2700 fps, every 100 seems to be about right. Once you finish normal cleaning inspect inside the muzzle. Over time you will need it less due to its polishing effect. Unless you shoot large amounts of ammo I haven't seen the need to use this every time. Only concern is this stuff is sticky and you don't want it in your action. Use a bore guide and inspect you chamber to make sure none is remaining.
wow(22/03/2018)
I have a Marlin 336 that would take me hours to clean. I used this product per directions just once. Now I can run a patch of #9, brush, run a patch of Pro Shot copper solvent, dry patch and done.
