Flawless Magazines(21/11/2015)
I've ran about 1000 rnds through these magazines in both my Kimber 9mm and my Wilson Combat Carry 9mm. Not a single failure to feed so far. Outstanding Mags. I'm going to buy 6 more.
Good but really tight springs. (19/12/2015)
I use Wilson Combat magazines in my .45 in my single stack major 1911. Those are great magazines for competition. These however are not those.
Although with shooting they seem to be reliable.
The plastic follower in the .45 mags will not bind, the 9mm mags however have a bent sheet metal follower, which tend to get stuck in the magazine tube when trying to unload a magazine with my fingers. The 9mm mag springs were so tight and the feed angle is sharp that when I tried to remove rounds from a fully loaded with my thumbs they caused the follower to bind.
I was forced to use the pistol to remove the rounds, and this is something I can't do at the safe table.
To combat this I store these mags fully loaded to lower the spring pressure so I can. Hopefully that will work.
I can't find better 10 rd 9mm mags though. And they are reliable. So I will live with them.
Not flawless for me(21/03/2017)
Seem to be out of spec compared to my other mags from other manufacturers. Caused the spent case to let go of the extractor upon firing and left the empty case on top of the mag, causing frequent jambs. All three of the mags purchased in this deal did the same thing, while no others do in my STI Duty One 9mm 1911.
Will not feed Hollow Point Ammo(24/08/2016)
I have 2 of these and I have tried 3 different brands of high quality defensive ammo and they will not feed until until I get down to 5 or 6 rounds in the magazine. Until then I have to hit the back of the slide with my hand to make it feed a round. I have not had this problem when using round nose FMJ practice ammo or using the hollow point defensive ammo in any of the other magazines I own.
Great in Kimber & SA(25/01/2017)
Well worth the money - flawless operation so far after >2000 rnds on both a Kimber and SA 1911. Other cheaper mags would fail to lock slide on empty or have other issues. Definitely you can not tolerate failure to lock open for tactical shooting - the seconds you spend trying to figure out if it's a misfire (or worse a dangerous squib if you are using reloads) versus a simple failure to lock slide will quickly crush your dreams of raising that tactical shooting trophy before your adoring fans.
Good mags...(13/04/2017)
I have three of these I use in a Colt. The mags are very well made, heavy duty for sure. I'm a WC 47D fanboy for 1911 mags in 45. These however, when loaded with a full 10 rounds push so hard up on the slide it will short stroke and fail to eject the fired round. Hopefully they will break in but with around 300 rounds a piece through them so far no luck. Still very hard to load the tenth round, hard to get it latched in the gun with 10 in it, and still jams the gun if fully loaded. When loaded with 9 they function fine, as do the Colt factory 9 rounders. Wilson should make them 9 rounders or add a few hundreths of an inch room inside them.
Excellent for Competition (10/06/2017)
Purchased a 3 pack from Brownells and use them in IDPA ESP division. They have been flawless in my Kimber Stainless Target. The 9th and 10th round are difficult to load but I believe that it will continue to improve with additional use.
